We must've been in 5th grade around the same time. I, too, was all about Eminem. Why was he so good back then?? Oh, man. I think I knew (might still know) every word to every track on Marshall Mathers and The Eminem Show.
Looking back, my obsession with him was/is so embarrassing. I remember getting a ride to K-Mart when I was 11 so I could get D12’s Devil’s Night album the day it came out. I think The Slim Shady LP came out when I was in 4th grade and my mom was totally cool with me listening to him (she even bought me Infinite off of eBay hahaha) but she made me get the clean versions of his albums so I would always steal my brother’s copies and listen to them secretly in my room on my discman.
